Jane Houston

Jane is the Clinical Director for the Midwifery and Women’s Health program at Frontier Nursing University. As a midwife, she has delivered over 2000 babies on four continents. She trained as a nurse and midwife in Scotland and has lived and worked in Musami, Zimbabwe and Wellington, New Zealand before coming to the U.S. in 1996 to continue her midwifery journey. She is passionate about increasing the quality of care particularly in rural and underserved populations.

Tia Andrighetti

Tia Andrighetti is an Associate Professor at Frontier Nursing University. She has been a Regional Clinical Faculty working with Frontier preceptors for 13 years.

Metta Cahill

I feel privilieged to have had a long career in women’s health. A busy, hi-risk, high-volume OB office in Trenton NJ has been my home away from home for 30+ years. A few years ago, a PT Regional Clinical Faculty position at FNU opened my eyes to the varied practice styles and challenges of midwives and women’s health practitioners around the country. I am thrilled to be part of FNUs family – this unique, historically significant university opens the doors to advanced nursing education for many.

Amber Evans

An experienced and certified midwife, Amber Evans completed her undergraduate work from Wilmington University and served in both Labor & Delivery and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Research at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Dr. Evans has been certified as an inpatient obstetrical nurse since 1996. Afterwards she went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Frontier University, earning her midwife certification. Most recently, she completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice also at Frontier University. Amber is known for her family-centered holistic approach to childbirth. Dr. Evans enjoys continuing to care for her patients’ health needs for their entire life span. Additionally, she is committed to the continued growth of midwifery and serves as a clinical preceptor for students of graduate studies in midwifery & Women’s health from several Universities.

Sarah Barton

I’ve been a mother for 21 years, a nurse for nine years, and a CNM for four years. I feel like nursing and midwifery were both a calling. I don’t remember ever deciding to do this, it was just the path that unfolded. Teaching is one of my greatest passions. I love teaching patients, families, other professionals, future advanced practice providers, and medical students.
