For me, there is no area of medicine more positive and rewarding than obstetrics and gynecology. I’m able to build lasting relationships and help my patients through the most important times of their lives. Many patients have trusted me from their first exam on. I’ve cared for them through pregnancy, childbirth and through all the changes they’ve gone through. Knowing that I’m dependable and trustworthy for my patients and their families is incredibly meaningful for me.
The specialty of women’s medicine also requires me to stay on the leading edge, which I appreciate. We’re now able to cure or improve many problems with advanced treatments that are easier for patients than ever. The challenge of learning new approaches and mastering the best techniques is enjoyable to me as a physician.
Reading Ob/Gyn has built a reputation for giving our patients personal care, delivered with kindness, by our outstanding women’s health professionals and professional staff. I know you’ll appreciate the care we feel honored to provide you.
Dr. Cammarano and his wife have four children. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, playing tennis and horseback riding.
Jennifer Stevens, CNM, MS – Reading Health System
Jennifer Stevens CNM, MS has been the director at RHPN Reading Birth Center since 2007. During this time the practice has gone through many transitions from a private physician owned practice to current hospital ownership. The practice is very involved with the OB residency in the hospital- from demonstrating collaboration by example to inviting OB and Family practice residents to chart and transfer reviews to lecturing OB staff at the hospital on collaboration. She has published on collaboration within her practice. Providing full scope OB/GYN care as well as in and out of hospital birth experiences to women within a large teaching hospital system has provided many opportunities to put collaboration in action. Jennifer believes that practicing midwifery in this environment is always a challenge, but provides the highest level of satisfaction for the midwife, and highest standard of care- keeping the woman at the center.
